Unlike standard snake games where hitting the wall means an instant termination, Portal Snake introduces a unique spatial warp mechanic. The screen borders act as magical portals! If your serpent slithers into the left wall, it instantly emerges from the right wall. This opens up entirely new strategies for catching the elusive Energy Orbs while avoiding your own growing tail.
Your objective is to consume Energy Orbs to increase your score. Every 5 orbs will trigger a Level Up. With each new level, your snake will evolve (changing colors from deep purple to neon cyan, and eventually into a Dark Matter entity) and the game speed will increase.
To master the Portal Snake game, you must use the screen edges to your advantage. If an Energy Orb spawns on the far opposite side of the screen, don't slither all the way across—simply warp through the nearest wall to grab it quickly! However, as you reach higher levels and the speed increases, be very careful not to accidentally warp directly into your own tail.
